ASSOCIATED TRAFFIC SERVICES, INC.
FREIGHT AUDITORS AND CONSULTANTS
SUMMARY OF SERVICES
Freight bills are checked after payment and claims are filed to collect freight rate overcharges and erroneous and duplicate payments.
Freight bills are checked prior to being paid to prevent the payment of freight rate overcharges.
Tariff items, discount pricing, and contracts are reviewed as they are negotiated with a shipper’s carriers and our clients are advised of suggested changes in the wording of such documents so that they may cover all of a shipper’s potential shipments.
As freight bills are checked, our clients are advised when the potential for future freight savings through the use of other carriers, negotiating for lower rates or discounts, or consolidating shipments, for example, is detected.
Freight bill information can be captured on an on going or a one-time basis to create a database of a shipper's freight history. Custom reports are generated to provide a shipper with a tool to better manage their transportation and distribution system.
Advice on how modal selection, warehousing, consolidation and other similar related transportation and distribution factors can be employed to reduce a company's transportation and distribution expenses.
Proven software written with the assistance of transportation experts is available to run on a shipper's PC. The software may easily be modified to run on larger computer systems such as Windows Server, UNIX, VMS and AS/400.
